Description

This is a miraculously well preserved 3 owner, 90K original miles 1964 GMC 3/4 ton Camper Special that has been barn stored its whole life by all 3 owners - it is in immaculate unrestored rust free condition - you can practically eat off the floors and door bottoms. 100% of the original wood unrotted in the bed - some factory black paint still present - this truck is smooth and rust free underneath, and has a fully restored drivetrain completed only weeks ago. New Clutch, new valve guides, head work, all seals, and cosmetic restoration of the drivetrain - no cylinder wear at all in this engine - these motors are not like Chevy V8's which are worn out at 100K - this industrial factory big block V6 engine is capable of 300,000 miles without a rebuild - I only had to reseal everything so it wouldn't drip oil on my driveway. It has new factory correct exhaust and the #'s matching 305E V6 and SM 420 4 speed and both work flawlessly. Powdercoated original optional 17.5" rims and correct Firestone tires - all new and ride great. Chrome is an 7 or 8 out of 10 w/ no corrosion or rust. Rare Custom Cab option, bumper guards, Factory power steering that has been completely rebuilt and operates flawless, rebuilt factory power brakes, deluxe heat, RARE GM dealer added tachometer, hazard flasher and a show-quality fully restored seat w/ NOS GM correct 1964 GMC fabric. Come to Alabama and drive it home - even if you live in Alaska. New Radiator, No oil leaks, everything works. Has a couple small rust holes in the lip of the rear wheel opening on the pass side and one on the Drivers side from dirt accumilating under the fenderwell supports - has a couple small english pea sized holes in the drivers outer rocker, and a couple BB sized holes in the lower drivers front fender - that is all the rust in this truck if you can believe it! I show this truck at car shows in the unrestored class. Very fun to see all the surprised faces when they find out the plaid valve covers are factory items and not something someone made. Estimated value of this truck is: 10,500.00 to 12,500.00 with the rebuilt & restored drivetrain, power steering, power brakes, seat, and wheels / tires - over 6K spent in just all this rebuilding already done. I think I have about 10K in it actually but am selling to try and but an near identical 55K original miles 1955 GMC I found.only reason I would ever sell my baby is to buy one even cooler.

SHIPPING: You really dont need a shipper with this one, because you can drive this truck to Alaska from here if you want - I pick you up at the Huntsville or Birmingham Airport and you drive her home without concern. I would do it in a heartbeat. However, If you simply want a great guy to come with his own truck and open 18' normal car hauler to pick it up and bring it to you anywhere in the U.S. I highly recommend you to call Robbie at 704-380-7777 - Robbie has fetched several trucks for me as far as CA, ID and TX and brought them all here for a reasonable cost. If you want enclosed transport, or a low cost multi-car carrier to come get it, I recommend u-ship dot com.
